This study explores the transformative role of chatbots in higher education, leveraging AI technologies like machine learning and natural language processing. It aims to address research gaps by examining the perspectives, habits, and preferences of diverse participants, including students, academic supervisors, and administrative staff related to chatbots in academic settings. Conducted through quantitative methods with a survey of 50 participants across diverse disciplines in Bengaluru, India, the study reveals the widespread use of chatbots for academic and administrative support. Students appreciate their convenience and time-saving benefits, while supervisors highlight their potential to enhance teaching efficiency, and administrative staff recognize their utility in streamlining operations. However, common concerns include data security, impacts on critical thinking, and the integration of chatbots into existing systems. Future research should delve into long-term effects on learning outcomes and compare efficacy across educational contexts and cultures.
